Here, most critical questions around bg.media will be answered.

I can see other users on your server. Were you hacked?

No. Shared+ Hosting users are not alone on their particular server. Instead, other customers might have some webspace on the same server, too, but due to a proper right management, each customer is not able to access any data from others.

This is only valid as long as customers don't start to share their data with other server users.

Where are your servers located?

All bg.media servers are located in Germany, specifically Frankfurt and Nuremberg.

Depending on the requirements, other server locations in other EU countries are possible for enterprise customers, e.g. Austria or Finland.

Can the application xyz run on the web space?

Certainly. Web applications based on PHP or Node.js are usually not a problem at all. These include, for example, cloud applications (Nextcloud, ownCloud, Seafile, ...). Extended requirements such as memcached or a redis cache can also be covered.

Will I be notified when my booked storage space is running out?

Yes, you will receive e-mails in several stages which are sent to the main user's e-mail address stored in the system. See Quota for more details.
